About J’Nefer-Obidahunsi C. Higgins, M.Ed., Sba.

I’ve always been deeply passionate about child development and supporting children during their most formative years. My educational journey led me to earn a Master’s in Education from Howard University and study Applied Developmental Psychology at UMBC. As a school psychologist, I transitioned from academia to hands-on counseling and consultancy, where I found my true calling: working directly with children and families to address their educational, cultural, and spiritual needs.

I specialize in helping children and families with a variety of concerns, including behavioral issues, self-esteem, anxiety, executive functioning, identity development, and character-building. I integrate evidence-based practices with a cultural understanding to empower families and promote positive developmental outcomes.

While my particular focus is on supporting the enculturation process of African descendants in the Diaspora, I also provide select services at a broader, mainstream level.
